Digital Organizing Associate

Position: Digital Organizing Associate

Salary: $5,000

Job Location: Statewide

Reports to: Deputy Director for Digital Organizing

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party and Biden for President are hiring Digital Organizing Associates to scale up our digital organizing operation in the fight for the soul of our nation.

Digital Organizing Associates will report to the Deputy Director for Digital Organizing and implement programs to build the digital organizing infrastructure necessary to persuade and mobilize voters in 2024.

In this position you will:

  • Partner with Deputy Organizing Directors and the field organizers in their mega-regions to support field operations from the perspective of digital

  • Educate local volunteers on how to engage with their communities using digital platforms

  • Serve as an on-the-ground partner to the organizing team in implementing the use of key digital organizing tools such as email, SMS, and Reach

  • Use digital and supporter cultivation tactics to build community in online spaces across their region

  • Capture engaging content at field events, including canvasses and phone banks, to highlight the strong support for Democrats in their region

Top things we’re looking for:

  • Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals and enthusiasm for electing Joe Biden and Democrats up and down the ballot;

  • 1+ years of experience working on/in political campaigns, community organizing, government or related fields (ideally in an organizing capacity)

  • Experience engaging with or supporting volunteers in an electoral or community engagement capacity

  • Has an understanding of organizing and how digital tools can be used to mobilize voters

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities (with an emphasis on attention to detail)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment.

  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

This role is a full time, in person role located in cities across Pennsylvania.
