Deputy Director for Digital Organizing

Reports to: Content & Mobilization Director

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party and Biden for President are hiring a Deputy Director for Digital Organizing to scale up our digital organizing operation in the fight for the soul of our nation. The Deputy Director for Digital Organizing will report to the Content & Mobilization Director and plan and implement programs to build the digital organizing infrastructure necessary to persuade and mobilize voters in 2024.

In this position you will:

  • Oversee the organizing/mobilization vertical that falls under the umbrella of digital, including by supervising multiple digital organizing associates

  • Lead the use of digital and supporter cultivation tactics to build community in online spaces

  • Coordinate closely with key members of the organizing team to ensure a seamless integration between the field, comms, political, and digital teams on mobilization efforts

  • Execute plans to use email, SMS, and Reach to advance the goals of the organizing team

  • Identify priority pieces of content to share with our online communities of supporters

  • Other duties as assigned.

Top things we’re looking for:

  • Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals and enthusiasm for electing Joe Biden and Democrats up and down the ballot;

  • 3+ years of experience working on/in political campaigns, community organizing, government or related fields (ideally as a field organizer or digital organizer)

  • Experience training, supporting, and managing staff/volunteers in an electoral or community engagement capacity

  • A strong understanding of organizing and how digital tools can be used to mobilize voters

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities (with an emphasis on attention to detail)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment.

  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

This role is a full time, in person role located in Philadelphia, PA.
