Finance Assistant

Department: Finance
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party is seeking a highly motivated and hard-working individual to begin immediately as a Finance Assistant. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent research and organizational skills, and strong time management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Finance Director to provide support to the overall fundraising strategy
  • Research donor history from federal and state campaign finance databases
  • Staff call time with the Chairwoman of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party
  • Update NGP with biographical and donation history, as well as contact information
  • Organize and staff fundraisers
  • Various tasks involving data entry and database management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Initiative to work independently and follow through on all projects
  • At least one campaign cycle of experience using NGP and ActBlue 
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills
  • Interest in and awareness of current political and policy issues
  • Proficient with campaign finance databases
  • Proficient with Canva, Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Ability to work well under pressure and on deadline
  • Passion for campaigning and politics and a drive to help elect Democratic candidates

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Driver's License and transportation

The Finance Assistant reports to the Finance Director.
